our MOTTO & MISSION
Tenbyzine aims to encourage leadership and student self-expression through giving aspiring student leaders here in Tenby Setia Eco Park a platform to develop life-long skills such as leadership, empathy and teamwork as well as to share their experience and knowledge with their peers. Tenbyzine strives to encourage and showcase different forms of talent and explore the creative capabilities of the student body.
a few words from tenbyzine's founding teacher
Tenbyzine started out as a Year 10 magazine back in 2015 - which was created on Publisher and floated on the Tenby SEP website.
Since then it has gone from strength to strength, Raisa and Raegel creating beautifully-designed successive additions and then Megan Choong being editor in chief from 2017. She managed to get even very young students to join lunchtime planning meetings and continued the tradition of student leaders and writers organizing work towards each issue. Since then she and her team added an Instagram account, joint-editing on Canva and hard copies of the tenth anniversary edition which portrayed the School brilliantly.
We’re moving into a new year and a new era as Carmen Tan takes over chief editor position with the floating of an incredibly flush Tenbyzine website, making not just submission easier, entering of competitions tempting but also growing of readership a certainty.
Thank you to all who have worked so hard on the zine these last four years. I have very much enjoyed helping you to become the wonderful leaders you have proved yourselves.
All the best Tenbyzine!
